Between Kanda - Ochanomizu of Chuo Line, there was "forever bridge station" which we opened in 1912 (Meiji 45) once. It was stopped in 1943, but, in forever bridge viaduct of red brick, facility of station including home and stairs remained partly.
"Old forever bridge Station" reproduces remains of an ancient structure of these stations and is facility where you can see historic valuable remains of an ancient structure everywhere. We release remains of an ancient structure including "1935 stairs" established at the time of "1912 stairs" where we almost kept figure at the time of the opening of business and Transportation Museum opening, and, on "2013 platforms which established deck on platform in the Bridge Station times in former all generations," there are free space and cafe. In addition, we carry out display to introduce achievement of forever bridge Station into in now.

It is not publicized after station stopped in 1943 (Showa 18) and will be released after an interval of 70 years. We performed restoration in concept in keeping state of the maximum original form while securing safety of viaduct this time.

■"Old forever bridge Station 1935 stairs"

New building of Railway Museum (Transportation Museum in the back) will be built by here forever bridge station and installs newly in 1935 (Showa 10). During until station stop of October, 1943 (Showa 18), here was used as stairs of station.
Before Transportation Museum closing of 2006 (Heisei 18), these stairs were released only in participant during period, but, as for being opened to the public like this time, it becomes such as well as 1912 stairs in 70.

On deck, we will save a basic part of home customs shed in the Bridge Station times in all generations when we reproduce thing which Railway Museum stores faithfully and installed ekimeihyo of forever bridge Station and were discovered in the middle of this construction and display after having processed preservation in Tohoku University of Art and Design cultural assets preservation restoration center.
